The first thing you want consider is the design. I always say “keep it simple!” This is because you want to make a statement quickly and visibly. Keeping in mind that most of the time you probably only have two seconds to get the message across. A creative, bright colorful design that gets right to the point, with a product image and short message or bullet list can make much more impact than four images and a paragraph.

Printed Surface: Fabric or Vinyl – Indoor or Outdoor

Outdoor banners can be printed on a variety of stocks however the most common type is scrim. Scrim comes in a relief pattern similar to canvas to make the fabric stronger in outdoor applications. There is also a breathable outdoor material for outdoor applications that allows wind to pass through. This type is called mesh and can be used anywhere outdoors where wind resistance is a concern. Also make sure to ask for waterproof vinyl when ordering a banner for outdoor use.

Indoor banners can be printed in a couple of materials. Vinyl is a common type that can be smooth but can be prone to scratches if care is not taken. One of the most flexible and durable is fabric banner material. You may have seen fabric tube displays that are a modern stylish way of mounting signage. Perfect for retail or trade shows, and meetings. They can be placed on the ground or elevated for maximum visibility. High-quality printing on 9oz premium polyester fabric using dye sublimation will make your graphics come to life and are sewn together creating a double sided display that cannot be missed.
